Tango Classes in Atlantic Highlands

Atlantic Highlands Arts Council welcomes back Joyce Diamond of Red Bank Tango as she hosts another anticipated month of “The ART of Tango,” every Sunday in March from 4 to 7 p.m. at the new home of the Arts Council, 54 First Avenue in Atlantic Highlands. Under Diamond’s expert guidance, dancers will receive three weeks of lessons, including a one-hour instruction session and two-hour guided practice, co-led by guest teacher Lee Chan. The fourth week will culminate in a traditional Argentinian-style Milonga Tango party, a freer and faster form of the Tango.

Intermediate and advanced dance enthusiasts alike are also invited for $5 Tango practice sessions Sundays in March at 5 p.m., as well as an $8 Milonga practice session on March 26 at 4 p.m.

“People love to Tango, and we couldn’t be happier to kick off our Sunday ‘The ART of’ events with this returning favorite,” said AHAC President Sally Stopper.
