RBR Basie-award winning Reuben Jackson states of the production, “’Kismet’” takes place in ancient Arabia where magic may or may not be real and true love is found in the power of poetry and the music inspired by the great Alexander Borodin. From the streets to the palaces of Bagdad in A.D. 1071, the story of four interwoven lives coming together to sing, dance and celebrate the mystery of “fate,” is the essence of this musical. The Red Bank Regional Theater Company is taking an aggressively artistic approach to this material with highly stylized dance, music and drama.”
