New ‘Seafarer Bar’ in Highlands to Cut Ribbon

Seafarer Bar Highlands NJ

On Saturday, May 12th, 2018 at 12:00 PM, Mayor O’Neil, members of the Council and representatives from the Highlands Business Partnership will cut the ribbon for another new downtown business, The Seafarer, located at 1 Atlantic Street, Highlands, NJ.

Sonia Joziajtis of Asbury Park and David Baker of Bakers Marina On the Bay are the proprietors of The Seafarer, which opened for business August 8th, 2017. The Seafarer is a boutique, waterfront beach bar with a selection of fine craft beer, delicious cocktails and beach-style cuisine. The Seafarer is also an event venue, perfect for waterfront weddings, bridal and baby showers and private parties.

Sonia met David Baker in Asbury Park, where she lives with her life-partner and designer, Jason Thomson. He brought her to Highlands to see the property, which is adjacent to his marina. Sonia immediately fell in love with the space. “It’s the perfect place to relax on the beach, next to the fire pits with a cold cocktail at sunset.” The Seafarer will also feature “dock and dine” service in the 2018 summer season.

The Seafarer features live music throughout the summer, with breathtaking views of Sandy Hook Bay and the Manhattan skyline. Hours are seasonal and weather permitting. For more information visit www.theseafarerhighlands.com, follow us on Facebook at The Seafarer Bar or call 732-492-5669. Please join us as we celebrate with our friends at The Seafarer. Highlands is proud to welcome them to our business community.
