You read it right. The treasured Lincroft Inn is scheduled to be torn down to make room for a new restaurant, The Lincroft Tavern.

Located at 700 Newman Springs Rd, Lincroft, NJ 07738, the Inn was a staple for everyone in the area. The Lincroft Inn was owned by Deborah Harry’s (Blondie’s family) Martha and Terry. They had to sell because they moved to Florida.

Before it was named The Lincroft Inn, it was known as the Leedsville Inn.

“The Lincroft Inn will be taken down in the next few weeks to make for a new restaurant. The Lincroft Tavern will serve the community in the same traditions as the Inn, but with a brand-new restaurant. The Lincroft Tavern will be great for the Lincroft commons as it is sure to bring much more exposure to the plaza,” read a statement from Lincroft Commons Development Co.

“I used to go to the Lincroft Inn after back to school night. I’m going to be so upset to see this memory being taken down, but I’m excited to see the new place,” said Joann Delfino of Lincroft.

Last week the Circus Drive-In in Wall, New Jersey was torn down.
The Red Store in Atlantic Highlands is also closing.
