KidGooRoo, A New Resource for Parents, Supports Charities for the Holidays

In the spirit of holiday giving, KidGooRoo, a new platform that helps parents raise happy kids by connecting them with the after-school activities in which they will be the most successful, is offering parents the opportunity to raise funds for their favorite charity. For every review written by a parent between November 26 and December 16, KidGooRoo will enter the reviewers’ names into a drawing for a new Chromebook, and will make a donation to the winner’s charity of choice. KidGooRoo will be donating $2 per review and parents can write as many reviews as they like, provided they are activities in which their kids have participated.

Unlike other listing sites, KidGooRoo offers real and unbiased reviews and ratings from local parents of all activities, programs, classes and camps. In sharing their own experiences, parents help other parents make better choices for their kids.  Parents can browse activities, read reviews, and write their own, all free of charge.  KidGooRoo is also free for providers of after school camps, classes and programs who can market their businesses to an extremely targeted audience.

KidGooRoo will conduct a drawing for every 200 reviews written.  The winner will receive a Chromebook and will be able to direct a donation to the charity of their choice. KidGooRoo hopes to conduct as many drawings as possible, so the more people review, the more charities KidGooRoo can support and Chromebooks they can donate.  All winners and charities supported will be announced via Facebook Live and be listed on KidGooRoo’s website.

“We know the holidays are a busy time when people want to give back, so we created this turnkey, easy way for parents to support their favorite charity and provide valuable insights to other parents. They are giving the gift of knowledge to other parents while gifting their favorite charity and paying it forward both ways!” said KidGooRoo founder Cathy Goldin.

About KidGooRoo

KidGooRoo is the first review site focused on kids’ activities.  The site provides the most reliable, comprehensive list of kids’ activities available online.  KidGooRoo, which debuted in 2016, was created by three mothers, Alex Skove, Cathy Goldin, and Alden Miles, who realized that there was no single source to research and vet programs for their children.  KidGooRoo’s goal is to make it easier for parents to raise happy kids by connecting them with the right programs for their children.  The site offers a database of programs that can be searched by city, ranging in scope from sports to camps, to music lessons and academic classes.  It also provides real reviews and ratings from parents who have experienced these programs, offering a first-of-its-kind referral service.
