Holy Cross Students Form Living Rosary

Grade eight poses by the statue of the Blessed Mother with the cross they carried to lead their fellow students in prayer. Grades six, in red, and five, in orange, can be seen forming the Living Rosary chain with their teachers.

Each year in October, the Month of the Holy Rosary in the Catholic faith, Holy Cross School and parish community in Rumson gather in the prayer garden of Holy Cross Church to pray to Mary, the Mother of Jesus, with the recitation of traditional prayers called the Rosary. This year, the group of 400 was blessed with beautiful temperatures and sunny skies. At the conclusion, Fr. Michael Manning, pastor, led the group in singing “Immaculate Mary” and gave them a blessing.
