Shark Teeth, Fossils and Fun

June 23, 2018
Ramanessin Brook Holmdel NJ

Fun fact: Holmdel was once part of an inland sea during the last ice age – and you can sometimes still find sharks’ teeth in Ramanessin Brook across from the Village School.

On Saturday, June 23, Friends of Holmdel Open Space will sponsor a fossil walk along and in the brook. The walk will be guided by a naturalist from Poricy Park who specializes in fossils, and participants who find sharks’ teeth can take them home.

Meet at the Village School parking lot at 10 a.m.
Wear clothes and shoes that can get wet; bring strainers for sifting.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. The event will be held rain or shine.
