In other library news, the Foundation for the Red Bank Public Library recently sent out its third annual appeal to build financial support for their many new programs and collections. The benefits of having a strong library in the community are many. Currently, cardholders can instantly borrow digital movies, TV shows, music, audiobooks, eBooks, magazines, and comics, all from the comfort of their own homes, for free. They also have access to databases and learning programs such as Rosetta Stone and Universal Class. Of course, the library is also widely known for the myriad of free programs for adults, children, and teens, providing the opportunity for community members to expand their horizons and meet their neighbors. The library has set a goal of $20,000 for this year’s appeal, with the funds being dedicated to the five goals established by the library’s strategic plan. Donations may be made in person, by mail, or online at www.redbanklibrary.org. Because of the generosity of so many supporters, the Red Bank Public Library continues to be a vital part of our community.
