North Jersey Community Research Initiative (NJCRI)

NJCRI’s 30th Anniversary Gala

October 25, 2018
North Jersey Community Research Initiative (NJCRI)

This year marks the North Jersey Community Research Initiative (NJCRI) 30th year anniversary, a milestone in our storied history! This anniversary creates an opportunity to reflect and celebrate on how NJCRI has grown from just a vision to a multifaceted community based organization and medical care center. In 1988, NJCRI made its mark as a pioneer for HIV research and clinical trials, the first in the state of New Jersey. We stood in the forefront fighting for access to treatment and care for all affected at a time where this wide spread epidemic was taking the lives of thousands and many of those affected had no where to seek help. NJCRI was and continues to be a voice for those that are silenced by stigma, fear, and discrimination.

NJCRI has grown beyond HIV to a community based medical care center that now serves over 9,500 clients a year and provides over 25 community programs and interventions. At the core of our celebration is our commitment to: “increase access to quality primary medical care fo all” a priority that will drive our efforts as we empower our community to take control of their physical and mental health.

A fantastic dinner program will start at 7 pm hosted by Two-time Emmy-nominated reporter, and host of  WPIX 11 “Celebrity Taste Makers”, Lisa Mateo.  She will lead us through an inspiring and fun evening that will include Honoree awards for Medical Excellence, Political Leadership, and Community Advocate to incredible leaders from our community.

Join us for an evening of live music, entertainment, dinner and libations as we celebrate the past, present, and future of NJCRI!

This fantastic event will take place on October 25, 2018 at Nanina’s in the Park, in Belleville New Jersey.
