Former Police Captain and native New Jersey award-winning filmmaker and Director Donna Roman-Hernandez announced that her short narrative film THE END is an Official Selection of the 2018 Garden State Film Festival that makes its premiere on March 25, 2018 in Asbury Park, New Jersey.

Written, produced and directed by Roman-Hernandez in conjunction with her film production company Blue Force Films, THE END tells the story about how a twist of fate interrupts a Police Sergeant’s plan to kill an ex-girlfriend after she filed a Domestic Violence Temporary Retraining Order against him.  Roman-Hernandez said, “The purpose of my short film is to bring awareness to the cycle of domestic violence—the power and control in a toxic dating relationship and how dangerous it can be for the victim to end the relationship.”

All the actors and production crew of this short film are active-duty and retired police officers.  THE END was filmed entirely in Manahawkin, New Jersey and is edited by Emmy award-winning Editor Paco Correa.
