Citizens for Informed Land Use (CILU) will host a talk on Monday, Nov. 12 at 7:30 pm at the Holmdel Community Center. Guest speaker will be Holmdel resident Kin Gee, co-president of the citizen group Residents Against Giant Electric (RAGE).

RAGE successfully opposed Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) when it planned to build a high-power transmission line along NJ Transit tracks through five towns in Monmouth County.

Following this favorable outcome, Gee and others formed Consumers Helping Affect Regulation of Gas & Electric (CHARGE) to advocate for New Jersey’s residential and small business energy consumers.

For these efforts, Gee was the recipient of Holmdel Township’s 2017 Annual Volunteer Service Award.

The Nov. 12 presentation will cover JCP&L’s reliability, performance, ongoing proposed rate increases and the newly proposed $400 million infrastructure upgrades.

CILU events are free and open to the public. For more information, contact Regina at 732-817-0190 or rcriscione@verizon.net .
