Learning Basic Design Principles With Garden Club RFD

February 19, 2019
Middletown Garden Club RFD Lincroft

The Garden Club of New Jersey studies and teaches the art of flower arranging. On Tuesday, Feb. 19, Tanya Ashuck, Garden Club R.F.D.’s Accredited Life Flower Show Judge, will focus on basic design principles and elements that are used to create a floral arrangement.

In March, members will apply what has been learned to their own creations.

Garden Club R.F.D. meets monthly from September through June at the Little Red Schoolhouse on Middletown Lincroft and Dwight roads.

The meeting location is a historic site cared for by club members, along with the surrounding land.

Garden Club R.F.D. is a working club that maintains the herb garden at historic Marlpit Hall on King’s Highway; cares for the floral displays at the Middletown train station (next to the Middletown Art Center); and works with residents of Brighton Gardens once a month, bringing hands-on activities and the joy of creating into their lives.

To attend the Feb. 19 meeting, call Nancy Canade at 973-452-4846. All are welcome at no charge.
