FRHSD Annual Halloween Spooktacular Window Painting Contest is Back!

Oct 12, 2017

The Halloween Spooktacular Window Painting Contest 2017 is fast approaching. The annual event, scheduled for Thursday, October 12, (rain date: Wednesday, October 18) has been a well-loved tradition in Downtown Freehold for many years.

Dozens of Freehold Regional High School District students representing the six high schools that comprise the regional district – Colts Neck, Freehold Boro, Freehold Township, Howell, Manalapan, and Marlboro – accompanied by their teachers, will be translating their haunted Halloween designs from paper to glass onto almost 50 local businesses’ storefront windows.

Prior to the temporary transformations, which take most of the day, window designs were reviewed by school staff. A volunteer committee will judge the spooky makeovers and select three designs for first, second, and third place. Awards will be presented to the winners at the November 20, Board of Education meeting.
