180 Turning Lives Around announced Impact 100 Jersey Coast and The Jon Bon Jovi Soul Kitchen will be the honorees for their annual celebration – an event which will highlight the #MeToo movement during April’s Sexual Assault Awareness month.

Impact 100 Jersey Coast – an organization that unites women to make a lasting impact by collectively funding transformative grants in the Jersey Coast region – awarded 180 with seed funding to establish a Family Justice Center in Freehold. The new Family Justice Center is the fourth such program in the state and addresses the needs of victims while improving the response system in Monmouth County.

The Jon Bon Jovi Soul Kitchen has provided inspiration and care to our 180 families for many years. While raising awareness about hunger and food insecurity throughout our community, The JBJ Soul Kitchen annually hosts events which raise awareness and support for 180. They have also provided nourishment to 180 survivor-families while ensuring dignity and comfort during critical times.

The annual celebration will be held on Friday, April 20, at The Riverhouse, at Rumson Country Club. The Bobby Bandiera Band will set the stage for an evening to remember. Guests are invited to dress-up their denim/blue jeans (the awareness “color” and symbol for Sexual Violence Awareness/Prevention) and join 180 in solidarity and support of the #MeToo movement and survivor empowerment.

Victims in Monmouth County receive support in a moment when they contact 180. “180 can be found in the courts, in all five area hospital emergency rooms and additionally, all 53 police departments. Our hotlines, counseling, support and advocacy are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and respond with care and compassion to rape survivors, and so many other victims of abuse—including domestic violence, child abuse and human trafficking,” said Anna Diaz-White, Executive Director, 180 Turning Lives Around.

For tickets and sponsorships, contact Lynn Lucarelli, Director of Development at (732) 264-4360, ext. 4230 or LynnL@180nj.org or visit www.180nj.org/get-info/special-events/annual-celebration-2018/.

Funds raised at the Annual Celebration will support 180’s programs including: 24-hour Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Hotlines, the rape care program, sexual violence counseling at the new Family Justice Center, sexual violence prevention education and advocacy, school outreach related to safe dates and healthy relationships and the 2nd Floor Youth Helpline.
