Cookstove Demonstration

The staff at the historic Longstreet Farm will cook on the wood-fired stove for this educational demonstration. They will give presentations on how recipes, cooking techniques and kitchens have changed since the 1890s. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 732-946-3758.

Irish Language Series

Designed for beginners to fluent speakers, students will be divided into groups, each with its own instructor, based on abilities and needs. Groups will interact with one another and participate in joint activities. This format will enhance the objective of keeping Irish available as the living, spoken language at the very heart of Irish culture. Whether you’re looking to dive into the Tain Bo Culaigne or just pick up a few phrases for travel, this program will work for you! There are 10 sessions from March 21 through May 23. The messiest game show on TV is now the messiest game show on the road. Double Dare Live is coming Red Bank and will bring all the action and excitement of Nickelodeon’s hugely popular TV show to the stage. All the slime-soaking, pie-plastering and booger-busting will be hosted by the Double Dare legend himself, Marc Summers. Tickets start at $35. Street Fair & Craft Show

New Jersey’s largest street fair organizer, with 29 events throughout the state, is coming to Red Bank for the Street Fair & Craft Show on April 7 from 11 am to 5 pm. Vendors can sell goods or services or use this as an opportunity to meet customers and advertise their business. There will be artists, crafters, food vendors, kids’ rides, games, live music, a DJ, dance performances, martial arts demonstrations and more. Admission is free for spectators. Easter Egg Hunt

The fifth annual West Park Easter Egg Hunt will kick off at 3 pm, followed by an Easter Egg Potluck Soirée and Egg Coloring at 4 pm at 41 Waterman Ave. All neighbors, friends and family are welcome to attend both events. Treat- or toy-filled eggs can be dropped off at 41 Waterman Ave. by 1 pm. Older kids can meet at the park to hide eggs at 2:15 pm.
