The Woman’s Club of Colts Neck celebrated its 58th Federation Day at Vincent’s Italian Restaurant in Freehold. Many past presidents were in attendance to honor the occasion.
The Woman’s Club supports the Girls Institute which sends junior high school girls to Douglas College in June to experience campus and college life. The club also donates cookies and candy to 180 Turning Lives Around, sponsors the apple pie contest at the Colts Neck Fourth of July fireworks celebration, donates Christmas stockings to the military, established the Veterans Day luncheon following the town’s Veterans Day ceremony, supports the residential students at Collier School, and gives scholarships to eighth grade girls at Cedar Drive School.
A proclamation was presented by former Mayor Michael Viola at the Federation Luncheon honoring these hardworking women of Colts Neck.
