Woman’s Club of Middletown
Daytime and evening members of the Woman’s Club of Middletown will meet on Saturday, December 2 at 12:30 p.m. at the Crown Palace Restaurant in Middletown for their annual holiday luncheon. Three new members will be installed. They are Jo Winter of Monmouth Beach and Peg Bottone and Barbara Moore of Middletown. Members will also be collecting children’s hats, gloves, and scarves for Calico Cat.
Following a successful fundraiser selling Thanksgiving pies for the club’s annual scholarship fund, members now have their 18th annual Holiday Gift Trees project underway. The decorated gift trees are currently in place at the PNC Bank in Chapel Hill, the Santander Bank branches on Harmony Road and on Highway 35/New Monmouth Road, the Ocean First Bank in ShopRite Plaza, and the Sunrise Senior Living Communities at Brighton Gardens, Highway 35, and the Lincroft Community on Newman Springs Road. The project will be conducted from November 24 to December 14. Public participation is greatly appreciated, as all gifts collected will be given to the Visiting Nurses Association in Belford for distribution. Members are also currently conducting their annual Letters from Santa project until December 15. Visit the club website at http://www.njsfwc.org/clubs-view.php?id=WCofMiddletown or call (732) 671-3451 to order letters. The cost is $3 for a letter and trinket.
The club is a member of the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs of GFWC. Daytime members meet at 12:00 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month and the evening members meet at 7:30 p.m. on the second Thursday. Both groups meet at Harlan Hall at The Westminster Presbyterian Church, 94 Tindall Road, Middletown. Guests are always welcome. For additional information, please use the above contacts.
