Warrior Post for Pets 2

On Saturday, April 22, Monmouth Beach Yoga and Wellness hosted Warrior Pose for Pets 2, benefitting The Brodie Fund, at the First Presbyterian Church of Rumsonโ€™s Wilson Hall. This event raised money to offer financial assistance to families who have pets fighting cancer. The event was attended by local yoga practitioners and animal lovers alike, all to help raise money and awareness for The Brodie Fund.

Along with the event at Wilson Hall, there were 16 other Warrior Pose for Pets 2 classes being held that weekend, in and out of New Jersey. The complete list can be found at www.thebrodiefund.org.

Lisa Matthews, owner of Monmouth Beach Yoga and Wellness, hosted the local event and Monmouth Beach Yoga and Wellness teacher Michelle Doyle led the class, which ended in a beautiful meditation focusing on our animal friends. The event not only raised money to help pets fighting cancer, but The Brodie Fund also collected donated dog and cat toys for Associated Humane of Tinton Falls and Catsbury Park, soon to open in Asbury Park. Sally Williams, founder and director of The Brodie Fund, expressed her gratitude to all involved in this exciting event for all of their continued support.

The Brodie Fund is currently offering grants in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania, but has plans to expand throughout the United States. For more information about The Brodie Fund and how you can help, please visit www.thebrodiefund.org.
