Walking to Raise Awareness for SUDC

Walk Vienna Team SUDC Bell Works

Team Vienna hosted a 3-Mile Walk 4 SUDC (Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood) on March 30 at Bell Works in Holmdel. In addition to the walk, there was music provided by Incredible Soundz Entertainment, waffles by The Waffle Cabin, inflated balloon animals and magic tricks.

Team Vienna SUDC Walk Bell Works 6A special drawing was held for a designer handbag from the Lauren Farrell NY Vienna Collection. Each walker received a Team Vienna t-shirt and a swag bag from Bell Works businesses.

Two-year-old Vienna Savino died on Nov. 12, 2017 due to a category of death unknown to the medical community – Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) which affects individuals ages 1-18 years old.

Team Vienna SUDC Walk Bell Works 2There was no explanation for Viennaโ€™s death, even after a thorough investigation, including autopsy, death scene investigation, medical record review and genetic studies. The mission of the nonprofit Team Viennaโ€™s is to raise awareness and research support for SUDC, while honoring little Vienna.
