Plans for the 2022 Red Bank CROP Hunger Walk are underway. The 42nd annual Crop Walk is set for Sunday, Oct. 16 – on World Food Day – at Red Bank Regional High School. As in years past, hundreds of walkers will come together to raise funds and collect food to fill the pantries of 14 local charities and a number of global programs of the World Church Service.
This summer, Teen Leaders from 10 local high schools and Coordinating Team members of faith groups got their teams registered and have already begun the fundraising efforts. They have also been working hard on planning the big Kick-off Rally, which will be held Monday, Sept. 12. The rally is a perfect time to build your enthusiasm, pick up your supplies and meet the 14 local partners of Crop Walk who will share information on how you can help raise funds and food. There will be walk packets, ways to form online teams and lots of yard signs, along with Crop gear. Anyone can form a team – churches, civic organizations, offices, families, schools and civic organizations. The Crop Walk partners are terrific at mentoring new folks.
The world needs your help now, as there are there are now 100,000,000 (the highest number ever recorded) displaced global neighbors that need help and hope.
The Crop Rally is a Park and Pick-up event at the First Baptist Church on Maple Avenue in Red Bank, and will be held from 3 to 6 pm. For more information, visit RedBankCropWalk.com, or email redbankcropwalk@gmail.com.
