An early morning motor vehicle accident, resulting in the deaths of two young men, occurred this morning in Toms River. According to the Toms River Police Department, at approximately 6:30 AM, a 2010 Porsche Boxter traveling at high rate of speed, became airborne after hitting a center median and striking an embankment on the northbound side of Hooper Avenue. The vehicle subsequently crashed into the second floor of Exit Realty offices, located at 1466 Hooper Avenue.

The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Braden DeMartin, 22, of Toms River. DeMartin and his passenger, Daniel Foley, 23, also of Toms River, were pronounced dead once the emergency units arrived at the scene.

According to the TRPD, the building has been deemed unsafe by township building inspectors, and Hooper Avenue between College Drive and Indian Hill Rd roads was closed for approximately 7 hours this morning.

The accident remains under investigation.
