Upcoming Events at Congregation B’nai Israel

Congregation B’nai Israel invites all to visit this friendly congregation. 

On Friday, March 3, CBI will be welcoming all new members as well as hosting their monthly celebration of birthdays and anniversaries with gifts and birthday treats. The service is at 5:30 pm followed by a 6 pm traditional Shabbat dinner.

On Sunday, March 5, it’s family fun and joy as CBI hosts its annual Purim carnival. This happy event for all ages is sure to make you smile. Come ready to celebrate – costumes are encouraged! The carnival runs from 11 am to 3 pm with a rain date of Sunday, March 12.

On Monday, March 6 at 6 pm, the fun continues with a Purim-themed dinner with a magic show performed by CBI’s Rabbi followed by the reading of the Megillah. RSVP is required by emailing Tara.Siers@cbirumson.org.

Then on the weekend of March 17, CBI will be welcoming Dr. Keren McGinity as Scholar in Residence. Dr. McGinity is the Interfaith Specialist at the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. Topics to be discussed include embracing partners and family members of other faiths to comfortably participate in the community and fostering feelings of connection and belonging.
