Two Monmouth County Residents Arrested on Drug Related Charges

On June 16 at 9:44 pm, Lakehurst police officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle that was being operated by Paul Rein, 54, of Keansburg, with Beatrice Rein, 54, of Hazlet, as the passenger.
During the stop, officers observed, in plain sight, drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. An on-scene investigation involving a search of the vehicle, driver and passenger resulted in the discovery of Paul Rein being in possession of suspected heroin and Beatrice Rein being in possession of a crack pipe.
Officers located additional drug paraphernalia throughout the vehicle. Both were placed under arrest without incident.
Paul Rein was charged with possession of CDS and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was also issued motor vehicle summonses for maintenance of lamps, no front license plate, expired inspection, failure to maintain lane, expired driver’s license, suspended driver’s license, failure to possess a driver’s license, failure to possess registration, failure to possess an insurance card, and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle.
Beatrice Rein was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both were released with a summons pending a mandatory court appearance.
