Thousands of Monmouth County Residents Still Without Power After Storm

JCP&L is currently working to restore power to approximately 3,384 homes in Monmouth County, according to Holmdel Township police. Thousands are still without electricity after last night’s storm which ripped through the area, bringing with it strong winds and heavy rainfall.

Holmdel police wrote, “As is always the case after a storm, trees continue to impact utility equipment, and more damage is possible.”

22 homes in Holmdel are currently without power as residents across the county echo the same issue.

Last night, a tree fell into power lines at the intersection of Wyncrest Road and School Road West in Marlboro, forcing police to close the road until JCP&L made repairs, Marlboro police reported.

It is advised that residents stay away from downed utility lines even if they appear to not be carrying any electricity. To report a power outage, call 888-544-4877.
