The Lunch Break Summer Tournament of Champions Softball Championship is back and better than ever! The day of friendly competition is set to take place during the annual Community Picnic and Back to School Drive on Saturday, Aug. 20 from 9 am to 2:30 pm at Count Basie Field in Red Bank.
Now is the time to put a team together and show off your skills. The Lunch Break lineup has room for eight corporate, business, school, family and/or neighborhood softball teams. Lunch Break will provide hats for each player on game day. Entry fee is $250 per team, and positions fill early so sign up, show up, have fun and hit a homerun for Lunch Break.
This popular event is a day of great fun, when softball veterans and rookies compete on an even playing field for the most coveted prize of the season, The Lunch Break Softball Tournament Championship Trophy – not to mention the bragging rights, too!
Put more pep in your step and zing in your swing while helping collect essential school supplies and items.
If you’re not on a playing team, everyone is still welcome to enjoy the festivities, which include games, raffles, music, barbecue and camaraderie.
