The Lovely Ladies of AW Eurostile
By Lori Draz

Left to right are Beth, Andrea, Sedona, and Michele Wyman.
Over the past nearly 30 years, AW Eurostile has grown to become one of the most respected names in tile, flooring and quality. They’ve done that in a business that is full of competition, box stores, and discount houses. They’ve done that in an industry that is largely male dominated, and they, the ladies of AW Eurostile, have done it as a family. Starting out in the stone and tile business, they have expanded over the years to become a full servicing kitchen, bath, and surfaces design center. Their list of products and services offered is extensive, including hardwood floors, engineered wood and vinyl flooring, vanities, kitchen cabinetry, custom countertops in granite, marble, or engineered quartz. Their tile selection is unsurpassed with large format tiles exceeding 4’ x 2’ to the most intricate waterjet stones for that stunning panel over the stove. Every day they hear, “You have the best selection of any place I’ve been!”
They are perhaps the only tile store on the East Coast that can say that more than being a family owned and operated business; they are owned and operated by three generations of women.
AW Eurostile was begun by Andrea Wyman, the matriarch of the empire. Her daughters were all artistic and shared her love of home improvement so naturally daughters Michele and Elizabeth joined the company. Many years later Elizabeth’s daughter Sedona joined the team making it three generations of this talented family. Their third sister Jennifer is not in the business but is very proud of all they have accomplished. Just a fun note, when Elizabeth named her daughter Sedona, Michele gave her daughter a geographic name, Savannah and Jennifer named her daughter Montana…perhaps one day there will be stores in those locations too. Rounding out the AW Eurostile team is Callie Valesquez who has been with them over 20 years and is practically a part of the family too.
AW Eurostile was born when Andrea Wyman recognized that her artistic ability, entrepreneurial drive, and passion for the construction and architectural field were being wasted at her job in the casinos of Atlantic City. So, she made the bold move and quit her job of 10 years. She spent a year managing a stone and tile showroom in NYC, then brought her talents to a small showroom she opened in West End Long Branch. They are now happily doing business in two breathtaking showrooms, one in Shrewsbury and one in Ocean.
You truly sense their love of tile and stone from the moment you step into either showroom. Both showrooms boast a huge selection of beautiful natural stone along with stunning low-maintenance porcelain tiles that give the look of stone, wood, fabrics and many, many others. Handmade tiles, water jet, glass, metals, mosaics, and the list go on. Kitchen countertops are an easy find at either location, with an extensive selection of the latest engineered quartz products, and for vanity tops as well. At the Ocean location you will also find budget-friendly, quality rich, kitchen cabinet selections, vanity choices for most every style along with “off the floor” vanity sales. At the Ocean showroom they show their amazing selection of hardwood, engineered, and vinyl and laminate flooring, but you can also see a sampling of these in Shrewsbury.
With so much to choose from you may be overwhelmed just thinking about the possibilities, but don’t worry, the ladies at AW Eurostile love to design and share their talent and experience with everyone who walks through their doors. They work with architects, builders, designers and homeowners. They pride themselves on being friendly, approachable, and unpretentious.
Michele says, “We are like an HGTV family. Honestly, most all our conversations are about design. We can’t wait to get into the showroom and discuss projects with each other. We are constantly talking about combinations of materials and trends in the industry. We are artists who love design and have knowledge of construction and renovation. We really get into each project and ask a lot of questions before we start to develop a sense of a person’s style, and we keep getting to know them better as we move along. Over the years, we have become friends with many of the people we work with. Most of them continue to send us referrals or work with us on multiple projects. You know, when you spend a lot of time with people, you get to know them very well; it’s like design therapy.
We know there are all kinds of needs out there so we offer options for all budgets and styles; from inexpensive, to high end, and everything in between. We’ve been doing this a long time, we know what it takes to help all kinds of customers. We know how to put together idea’s you may have never thought of, or how to satisfy the pickiest of customers. After 30 years you could say we’ve got it down pretty good.
We are excited to offer a sale on the latest waterproof luxury vinyl. It’s the good stuff; we have no cheesy vinyl here. You truly can’t tell the difference between it and hardwood flooring. Mention that you read this entire editorial and your price will be only $4.89 sf. delivered to your house!”
