The Center in Asbury Park to Host Jersey Shore AIDS Walk

The Center in Asbury Park is holding a Jersey Shore AIDS Walk on Sunday, Oct. 4. Organize a team, support a team or donate!

The walk is a fun opportunity to raise funds and awareness for people living with HIV/AIDS.

The outdoor event will have participants practicing safety measures including social distancing and wearing a special AIDS Walk mask. As The Center’s other 2020 fundraisers were canceled due to COVID-19, they need your support more than ever to help their clients and residents navigate this pandemic.

The Center in Asbury Park is an AIDS service organization that operates a food pantry for those in need locally. Center House, a subsection of the facility, is a “supportive housing” project providing three meals a day, on-site case management, security and other kinds of support to help people stabilize themselves and be healthy.

To register or donate, visit the Jersey Shore AIDS Walk website.

The walk will begin at The Center in Asbury Park, 806 3rd Ave. Registration will begin at 9 am, and the walk will kick off at 11 am.
