A Taste of Little Silver

By Lori Draz

Sunday, May 21 marks a first in Little Silver, as the first ever Spring Food Festival & Street Fair – A Taste of Little Silver comes to the Acme parking lot from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Come spend a tasty day in this friendly town. This free event features family fun and food for all. A Taste of Little Silver will showcase the wonderful flavors that make up the amazing town.  Meet great merchants and enjoy live music from Little Silver’s own musical talents, The Honey Badgers, Dance Plus, The Castaways, and a few youth rock stars in town.

Participating businesses include Sickles Market, The Healthy Palate, Gianni’s, Olivia’s, ACME, The Turning Point, Graze, Restaurant Diomede, McLoone’s Restaurants, Ryser’s Landscape, Silver Shears Hair Studio, The Gravity Vault, Yankeegirl Art, Uphoria Boutique, Salon Jenae, and Renaissance Fitness & Health, with many more signing up every day.

For even more fun, the Little Silver Business & Professional Association will hold a town-wide Sidewalk Sale during A Taste of Little Silver. Additionally, the town’s Historic Post Office Museum and the Little Silver Public Library, located in the heart of town, will be open for visitors all day. There will also be a car wash at the Little Silver Fire House and early morning sporting events throughout the town. A Taste of Little Silver will truly be a splendid community day.

Pets are welcome and residents are encouraged to walk or ride bikes. Prospect Avenue from Markham Place to Church Street will be closed from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Additional parking will be available behind The Women’s Exchange on Church Street. No alcohol is permitted at this event.
