Summer Rentals to Continue, Boardwalks to Open in Wildwood This Summer

The popular South Jersey vacation spot, Wildwood, will reopen its boardwalks and beaches for recreational activity starting May 8, according to North Wildwood Mayor Patrick Rosenello.

“It is now time for us to begin thinking about how to move forward and allow residents, second home owners and businesses to begin trying to return to some form of normalcy,” Mayor Rosenello said.

Following his announcement, Rosenello pointed out the importance of following Gov. Phil Murphy’s orders regarding guidelines in place for activities in public places.

Murphy has said he allows โ€œwalking, running, operating a wheelchair, or engaging in outdoor activities with immediate family members, caretakers, household members, or romantic partners while following best social distancing practices with other individuals, including staying 6 feet apart.โ€

Rosenello also announced that short-term or transient vacation rentals will continue to operate in North Wildwood and Wildwood starting Tuesday, May 26, the day after Memorial Day.

Wildwood attracts residents from all over New Jersey and the tri-state area for its attractive summer vacation properties and family fun amusements.
