St. Leo Celebrates Catholic Schools Week

Saint Leo Great Lincroft NJ

Saint Leo the Great School in Lincroft celebrated Catholic Schools Week the week of January 28 to February 3. This year’s theme was “Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed.”

Pastor Reverend John Folchetti began the week by leading the school community in a celebration of the Holy Mass.  The school then opened its doors to parents and families for an open house.  Parents had the opportunity to observe their children at work in the classroom.

On Wednesday the school honored its faculty and staff for all the hard work and dedication they put forth each day for the students. Faculty and staff enjoyed lunch and special treatment throughout the day.

Friday was Student Appreciation Day. Students were treated to a magic show, extra recess, ice cream sundaes, and an interactive video game bus. The school also designated Friday as “Souper” Bowl Friday.  The students donated cans of soup to the parish’s food pantry which supports members of the community who are in need.

The faculty, staff and students agreed, it was an exciting week for all members of the community.
