St. Benedicts Announces New Principal

Kevin Donahue Saint Benedicts

St. Benedict School recently announced the appointment of Kevin Donahue as the new school principal who will be assuming the role on July 1, 2018. For the past four years, Donahue has served as the Director of Admissions at Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft. He also taught Advanced Placement and Honors Psychology.

Prior to CBA, Donahue served as the school counselor at Lacey Township High School in Lacey, NJ for eight years. In this position, he served as an anti-bullying specialist, counseled students on college admissions and financial aid processes, and administered and supervised standardized testing including ACT, SAT, and HSPA. Using his analytical skills, he gathered and analyzed student data to close achievement gaps.

Previously, Donahue was a social studies teacher at Burlington City High School, in Burlington, NJ. Donahue’s love of sports and coaching is strongly evidenced in his résumé as he served as a softball, baseball, and volleyball coach for Lacey and Burlington high schools and joined CBA’s coaching staff as head freshman baseball coach.

Donahue earned his Bachelor of Arts in Education and History at Rowan University. He went on to receive his Master of Education in School Counseling at the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland. Donahue looks forward to joining St. Benedict School as principal and continuing to develop and implement a long-term vision and strategy for the PreK-8 school.
