Spring in the Air in Red Bank

By Gena Ansell-Lande

Is there anything more lovely than springtime in Red Bank? If it were not for the brutally cold months, we might not appreciate this brief reprieve. This month, the theme seems to be all about food and fashion.

A Passion for Fashion

On April 20, a collaboration of some of your favorite Red Bank boutiques will bring you the fashion event of the season. With the theme inspired by Pantone’s color of the year (Greenery) Teak’s Rooftop will be transformed into an oasis reminiscent of nature. Fashions from six local boutiques will adorn the runway with spring/summer fashions. The first 50 guests will receive a reusable swag bag filled with goodies, and guests will enjoy light appetizers and plenty of drink specials throughout the event. The DJ will continue spinning all night as the party continues into the evening.

This event is sponsored by the Red Bank Business Alliance, Life as Art Fine Photography Studio, and Teak Restaurant & Bar.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. For more information, please visit the website at

International Beer & Wine Food Festival

Red Bank is hosting one of their biggest events of the year, the International Beer & Wine Food Festival. Come join fellow foodies on April 30 in the White Street parking lot, where over 20 local restaurants will serve a variety of international foods, beer, and wine. Guests will enjoy live entertainment on two stages, unique crafters and vendors, and plenty of activities for the kids. This first street festival of the year is a great day for the entire family.

Festivities begin at noon and continue till 7:00 p.m. No pets allowed. Rain date is May 7. For a complete listing of participating restaurants, check the website at
