Shannan Carter Hollingsworth Opens New Practice Location in Monmouth County

Shannan Carter, MS, RD, CDN Registered Dietitian and Medical Nutrition Therapist is pleased to announce a new practice location opening in Monmouth County.

Shannan is a Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist with the American Dietetic Association and licensed by The American Commission on Dietetic Registration. She received her Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and has been in private practice in New York City for over 20 years. Prior to that, she was the Critical Care Nutritionist for St. Lukes-Roosevelt Adult, Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Units. Shannan is also a past adjunct professor in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at New York University.  Furthermore, she is the past president of the Greater New York Dietetic Association and received the award for “Young Dietitian of the Year” for New York State by the American Dietetic Association.

Shannan is licensed by the ADA to treat patients with medical conditions, such as, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease, Eating Disorders, Oncology, Infectious Disease, Gastrointestinal Disease, Renal and Liver Disease, Pediatrics, Maternity, Critical Care, Enteral and Parenteral, Sports Nutrition, and Weight loss and Wellness. “We use a Metabolic Rate Analysis system to measure patient RMR, allowing us to screen for abnormally low metabolic rates and pinpoint the precise caloric intake required,” Says Carter.
