Sea Bright Fireman Talks Distressed Person Off Local Bridge

During the early morning hours of Saturday, Nov. 19, Sea Bright Fire and Rescue were dispatched to a local bridge for a welfare check. Upon their arrival, they observed a victim on the side of the bridge in emotional distress. Fireman Sean Marelli engaged in a conversation with the victim and, after some time conversing, was able to talk them off the bridge where they were subsequently transported to a local medical center for further treatment.
Fireman Marelli is a long-time resident of Sea Bright, starting with the department at age 16 in the cadet program. He is also employed as a police officer with the Sea Bright Police Department.
