Saint John Vianney Players Selected to All-Division Girls’ Soccer Squad

Four senior members of the Saint John Vianney girls’ soccer team have been named to the Shore Conference Coaches B-North All-Division squad. Rostered on the team were forward Abby Giunta, midfielder Ally Ouano, defender Sam Sportelli and goalkeeper Kelsea Nolan. The players were picked by Shore Conference soccer coaches. 

Giunta was a three-year starter and a strong presence around the net. She has career stats of 14 goals and three assists. She put up four goals and two assists on the season.

Ouano served as the Lancers’ field general. Playing at midfield, she is credited with six goals and one assist in 2021. Her career stats are goals and four assists. She scored the winning goal that clinched the B-North title for SJV in a double overtime battle with Freehold Borough.

Sportelli was the catalyst of a defense that produced 12 shutouts en route to a 14-3-2 season record. She was also named to the Second Team All-Monmouth County squad.

Nolan completed her tenure in the net with an astonishing record of 270 career saves. She posted 114 in her sophomore season. Nolan was also named to the First Team All-Monmouth County roster.
