Road Improvements to Begin on Halls Mill Road Next Week

The Monmouth County Department of Public Works and Engineering will begin final paving and striping operations to Halls Mill Road and County Route 524 (Elton Adelphia Road) in Freehold and Howell Township on or about Monday, Aug. 15.

“As we continue to work to improve our roadways, the Department of Public Works and Engineering will be performing a paving and striping operation to Halls Mill Rd. and County Route 524 during the hours of 6 am to 6 pm, weather permitting,” said Commissioner Director Thomas A. Arnone, liaison to Department of Public Works and Engineering. “The county anticipates that all lanes and traffic operations will be available by Labor Day but in the meantime, a full detour, which will include Route 33 and Route 9 will be available. Access to homes and businesses within the project site will be available at all times during the operations. We thank residents and motorists for their patience during this project.”

In total, the county maintains approximately 1,000 lane miles of roads, 980 bridges and culverts and 250 traffic signals and beacons.
