RFH Field Hockey Goalie Amanda Gettings Hits Two Milestones in a Single Game

Veteran Rumson-Fair Haven field hockey goalie Amanda Gettings has been putting up some amazing stats over the past two years. However, this season she added a wrinkle to her long list of achievements.

On Oct. 8, the senior racked up an amazing 24 saves in a road clash with Haddonfield and reached two different milestones in the same contest.

With her fourth save of the game, she reached the prestigious 300-career save milestone. Moments later, commensurate with her ninth stoppage of the afternoon, she hit the gold standard one-hundredth single season save milestone. This was Gettings’ second consecutive 100-save season; she netted 125 in 2021.

As stated earlier, 24 saves in a single game is indeed an amazing stat. Perhaps not considered amazing by Gettings, as she posted exactly 24 twice previously during the season.

“Amanda is an amazing teammate and leader,” first-year Head Coach Kelly Ridolfi said. “She earned a well-deserved captain’s position this year where she team prepare and win games.”
