Red Bank March Events

By Gena Ansell-Lande

Although it’s still very much sweater weather, spring is fast approaching. This is the perfect time of year to get out and peruse the streets of Red Bank. Check out a gallery, do some window-shopping, and by all means, try some of the new restaurants in town. Speaking of restaurants, mark your calendars for Restaurant Week. This is one of Red Bank’s most popular events.

Restaurant Week will run from March 6 to March 16 and will feature either a $35 or $25 prix fixe menu at participating restaurants. This year, there will be more than 25 restaurants participating. Menus and price points will be listed on their websites.  One note: prix fixe menus will be available until 7:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, March 10 and 11. For more information on which restaurants will participate, please visit

Also of note this month is Red Bank’s annual Wedding Walk on March 26. This free, one-day event introduces brides, grooms, partners, wedding attendants, and their families to Red Bank as the one-stop shopping destination for weddings. As always, there will be several grand prize packages raffled off at the end of the day.

Organized by the Red Bank RiverCenter, the event is designed to help couples plan their wedding, while also enjoying everything the town of Red Bank has to offer. Check out over 40 wedding-related businesses, including florists, photographers, wedding planners, bakeries, salons, banquet facilities, and plenty more. Most will offer light refreshments and special amenities to participants, as you are bound to work up an appetite from all that walking around.

The day begins with check-in at the Oyster Point Hotel, where you can enjoy a continental breakfast. Although the tours are self-guided, you can utilize the free shuttle and trolley service to get around town. After you complete the walk, return to the ballroom at the Molly Pitcher Inn at 3:00 p.m. and enjoy a champagne event and plenty of prizes and raffles. There will be some fabulous honeymoon packages and other grand prizes awarded to a few lucky couples.  This event is a must for newly engaged couples or those who simply enjoy all things “wedding.”

Wedding Walk Schedule
