Raise Your Glass at Seventh Annual Jersey Shore Wine Festival

The featured participating wineries for the Seventh Annual Jersey Shore Wine Festival have been announced, and festival guests are sure to toast these Garden State favorites. Bring a chair, invite some friends, and prepare to relax and enjoy this fantastic event. Here are all of the fun things you can expect to see at the 2017 Jersey Shore Wine Festival.

Presented by the Lakewood BlueClaws and produced by Allen Consulting, Inc., the Seventh Annual Jersey Shore Wine Festival is scheduled to take place, rain or shine, from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 10 and Sunday, June 11. The Jersey Shore Wine Festival will offer samplings of more than 125 spectacular wines from an extraordinary variety of Garden State wineries.

The following wineries will be participating in this year’s festival: Valenzano Winery, Cream Ridge Winery, Chestnut Run Farms, Villari Vineyards, DiMatteo Winery, Monroeville Vineyards & Winery, Plagido’s Winery, Wagonhouse Winery, Cava Winery, and Sharrott Winery.

In addition to wine tastings, there will also be live entertainment by Astronaut Jones and the Hi Fidelity Band, as well as dozens of crafters, retail vendors, and food truck vendors to appeal to every interest with unique merchandise and every palate with tasty dishes. There will also be a children’s play area for the youngsters to enjoy.

The Jersey Shore Wine Festival will be held at FirstEnergy Park, 2 Stadium Way in Lakewood. The cost to attend is $20 per person in advance or $30 at the gate for those over age 21.  Designated drivers are free. No dogs, hovercraft/hoverboards, drones, bicycles, or skateboards are allowed during festival days. Two-day combo tickets are also available for $35 per person in advance, or $45 at the door. Designated drivers are not required to purchase a ticket. Sponsors for the Seventh Annual Jersey Shore Wine Festival include The Journal Publications, WJRZ-FM 100.1, New Jersey Monthly, and the Asbury Park Press. All net proceeds of the Jersey Shore Wine Festival will be donated to Sylvia’s Children, a Holmdel-based 501(c)3 organization working over the past 13 years to improve the living conditions of more than 1,000 children in the village of Mbiriizi in Uganda, Africa.
