A popular shore nightclub has announced a summer hiatus due to the concerns surrounding COVID-19.

The Osprey, a legendary nightclub in Manasquan among shore-area party-goers, announced via its website that the business will not be opening for the summer 2020 season.

According to the website, Osprey owners explained that due to the “expected reduction in capacity and the restrictions already in place as to social distancing,”ย  they would not be able to open this summer.

The Osprey nightclub is located on 1st Avenue in one of the Jersey shore’s most popular summer rental hotspots in New Jersey. It has been a staple of the Manasquan party scene since 1946 and will be celebrating its 75 anniversary next year.

The nightclub does plan to open for the 2021 season, saying “but with a positive thoughtโ€ฆโ€ฆwe will be back to normal in 2021 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Osprey!”
