Howell Township police are seeking the public’s help in locating 22-year-old Yasin Barrett. He was reported missing by family on June 1.

He was last seen on May 19 at his residence in the Toscana residential development off Fort Plains Road (behind Home Depot).

Yasin is autistic and is high functioning. He has gone missing previously but only for a few days. He was previously found in New York City. This is the longest he has not been seen or heard from, according to police.

Over the last week, Howell police officers have been in contact with the New York Police Department and Port Authority in an attempt to locate Yasin.
Yasin did not take his wallet or cellphone. An interior check of the residence was conducted. A search of his social media accounts revealed no activity.
On June 9, a check of the area behind his residence was searched by officers, fire volunteers, a drone and a police service dog. Both the interior check and exterior search revealed no leads to his whereabouts.
Howell police encourage anyone with information to call 732-938-4111 or dial 911.
