Police Seek Information About Motor Vehicle Accident

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and Long Branch Police Department are requesting the public’s assistance in obtaining information about a motor vehicle collision.

“At this time, we are currently looking for any information in reference to the motor vehicle vs. bicyclist (serious bodily injury) collision that occurred on Friday, July 23, 2021 at approximately 9:47 pm on Garfield Avenue, just east of Memorial Parkway in Long Branch,” the Prosecutor’s Office wrote in a statement.

The vehicle was traveling westbound on Garfield Avenue when the collision with the bicyclist occurred.

The vehicle, possibly a 2009 to 2014 Hyundai Sonata, sustained damage to the front passenger side-view mirror.
