Police Report Armed Robbery at Kay Jewelers in Holmdel
On Jan. 31 at about 6:30 pm, an unknown suspect entered Kay Jewelers, located at 2131 Route 35, showed a handgun and demanded the store employees turn over all “men’s gold.” The employees complied, and the suspect left the store on foot.
No one was physically injured during this incident. It is believed the suspect walked to the rear of the building, in the direction of Kohls Plaza.
The suspect was described as a thin white male, early 70s, possible Russian accent, wearing jeans, a dark jacket, wool hat, face mask and sneakers. The handgun shown was in the suspect’s waistband.
