Two siblings from an entrepreneurial family teamed up to open Plato’s Closet in Middletown. This is their second resale shop as they also own Once Upon a Child in Edison.
Owners Laila Ruzika and Shereef Hammod come from a driven family, which they said has influenced their life choices and encouraged them to work for themselves. They both grew up wanting to own businesses and are now seeing the fruits of their labor pay off.
Plato’s Closet offers sustainable and affordable, high-quality clothing for young adults. As Ruzika explains, “We are helping our customers make money and save money on new styles that they want.”
Both Ruzika and Hammod are eager to be a part of the Middletown community as they deliver the area with affordable and stylish clothing!
The store is located at 1421 Route 35 in Middletown.
