Pedestrian Struck and Killed in Early Evening Accident in Middletown

A Middletown woman was struck and killed in an early evening motor vehicle accident in the Oak Hill section of Middletown last night.

The Middletown Police Department and EMS were called to the scene of what appeared to be an accident in the area of Wren Court and Bamm Hollow Road at approximately 6 pm Wednesday night.Β  The victim, an 81-year-old Middletown resident, suffered fatal injuries from the crash. The identity of the woman has not yet been released.

The driver of the vehicle, a 35-year-old male from Middletown, remained on the scene and is cooperating in the police investigation. The MTPD has stated no summons have been issued at this time.

The area of Bamm Hollow Road between Hillyer Circle East and Hillyer Circle West was closed until 10 pm last night due to the accident.
