October Events at the Middletown Township Public Library

Join the community at one or more of these special events at the Middletown Township Public Library this October!

National Anti-Bullying Day Event, Monday, Oct. 7 at 7 pm:  Join us for a presentation by Mark Walters, founder of both Sticks and Stones Foundation and Bullying Stops Today.  Mr. Walters has spent over three decades as teacher, counselor, guidance director, assistant principal, and principal in the schools of New York City and New Jersey. His program is dedicated to the eradication of bullying.

Young Adult/Teen/Tween Author Café, Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 7 pm: Middletown’s own local author & college professor Nicole Melleby will visit to discuss her middle grade book, “Hurricane Season,” and also speak about her forthcoming book, “In the Role of Brie Hutches.” There will be a discussion, a Q&A and light refreshments. Copies of the book are available in the library and there will be some for sale and signing.  Registration required @ mtpl.org.

Author Katherine Blohm visits, Monday, Oct. 14 at 2 pm: Join us as we welcome author Katherine Blohm as she does a reading of her book, Cellphone Call of the Wild. An art activity will follow so please register.

Miss Sherri of Honey Child Music, Monday, Oct. 14 at 10 am: Come sing, dance move & groove with 25 year Music Specialist, Miss Sherri.  Registration required @ mtpl.org.

Drop-in Programs
Enjoy some spontaneous fun, get help, practice a skill or make new friends in our drop-in programs throughout the month @ Middletown Township Public Library.  We offer Simply StoryTime, Toddler Time, Lapsit StoryTime, Kids’ Playgroup, Math Tutoring, Reading Buddies, LEGO’s Building Session, Chess and Table Top Games for Kids.  There’s always an art project to create or a puzzle to be solved in the Discovery Zone.  Visit mtpl.org for a detailed calendar of events.
