Newcomers and Neighbors Club Celebrates the Holidays

On Thursday, December 7, members and guests of the Newcomers and Neighbors Club of Colts Neck, Holmdel, and surrounding areas celebrated the season in spectacular style, with a wonderful holiday luncheon at the elegant Eagle Oaks Country Club in Farmingdale. Attendees merrily mingled as they enjoyed cocktails and hors dโ€™oeuvres while perusing a colorful display of raffle prize items. After the crowd had taken their seats, club officers welcomed everyone and then committee heads gave a recap of recent events, along with reminders of upcoming dates. Lunch was a delicious buffet, savored to the accompaniment of background music by singer and pianist James Keefe. The talented performer soon had the guests on their feet, singing along with favorite holiday classics and other popular tunes as they laughed and danced together. It was a marvelous afternoon and a jubilant start to the holidays!

On Thursday, January 4, the club will welcome a representative from Ronald McDonald House to speak about the great work that organization does for the families of ill children and much more. The meeting will be held at Colts Neck Firehouse #2 on Conover Road in Colts Neck beginning at 9:30 a.m. Guests are welcome, so stop by for some refreshments, information on the club, and a great program.

The Newcomers and Neighbors Club provides a social network for both new and longtime residents of Monmouth County and surrounding areas. Members may participate in a variety of activities throughout each month. If you are new to the area, have recently retired, become single, or are just bored and looking for something different, this is a great time to join the club. Cost is $35 for the entire year and new members are accepted at any time. For information, call (732) 577-0875 or (732) 530-9543.
