Newcomers and Neighbors of Colts Neck and Holmdel to host Spring Luncheon

Retiring Newcomers and Neighbors Treasurer, Gail Wachsmuth was honored for her many years of service and presented with a lovely bouquet.
On April 12 the Newcomers and Neighbors Club of Colts Neck, Holmdel and surrounding areas held a general meeting at Colts Neck Firehouse #2. Members and guests enjoyed a social hour with coffee and refreshments, a business meeting and a moment of recognition for retiring Treasurer, Gail Wachsmuth. President, Dee Mollema and all the club members bid her farewell with a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
Jim Meritt, Program Director for Sedge House on Island Beach State Park, gave an entertaining presentation on the natural beauty and recreational opportunities of the Jersey Shore. Many of the members dressed in summer attire in the hope that warm weather is on the way.
On May 10 the club will hold the annual spring luncheon at the newly renovated Rum Runner in Sea Bright. The festivities will begin at 12 p.m. and will include a cocktail hour, a four-course lunch, open bar, raffle gifts and entertainment. Nationally headlining comedian, author and screenplay writer, Marion Grodin, will perform a comedy skit for the enjoyment of the guests. Many laughs are guaranteed.
