Monmouth County Seniors ‘Stuff the Bus’ to Benefit Local Children

Brandywine Living communities in Monmouth County joined together to bring cheer to children at local hospitals during their second annual “Stuff the Bus” hosted this holiday season.

Residents and team members prepped their Brandywine buses with festive holiday décor to welcome toy donations during November and December.

Six buses were “stuffed” by families, team members and the local community for a grand total of 345 toys to be distributed by Daniela’s Wish to local hospitals before Christmas.

Coordinated in Colts Neck, Daniela’s Wish is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving children who are suffering from illness or tragedy.

Each participating community hosted a Last Day Collection party featuring special holiday treats on Dec. 7 to celebrate a successful drive and thank donors.

“This is our second year collecting toys for Daniela’s Wish, and we plan on continuing the tradition to stuff our buses yearly,” Director of Community Relations at Brandywine Living Reflections at Colts Neck Linda Keating said. “Our residents really enjoy making a difference in the local community and combining our efforts helped make a greater impact for children who are spending the holiday at the hospital.”

Anyone who missed “Stuff the Bus” but would like to contribute to local children can email Daniela@danielaswish.org to learn how they can help.

Brandywine Living Monmouth County communities located in Colts Neck, Howell, Englishtown, Wall and Shrewsbury will begin collecting toys for their third annual “Stuff the Bus” drive in November 2020.
