Middletown Students Asked to Contribute to 2020 Time Capsule

Middletown Township Public Schools have given students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade the opportunity to create a piece of art to become a part of Middletown history.

Students are instructed to submit a 10-second video clip or a document — whether that be a poem, short story, photograph or artwork — that represents this unprecedented time. The student can create a piece on a topic of their own or use a suggested topic featured in the submission form.

“Each submission will be published into one collaborative, digital district-wide community book,” according to Middletown Township Public Schools. The memory-encompassing book will be made available digitally to all MTPS community members.

The time capsule project will also serve as a contest, with one winner chosen from each of the three school levels throughout the district (elementary, middle and high school). Each winner will receive a gift card.

All entries are due Wednesday, June 10. Additional information, including rules for submission, can be found here.
